1998 CINDY JACOBS GUATEMALA PROPHECY WOULD PROVE INNACURATEet

Cindy Jacobs gave a prophecy about Zimbabwe in Guatemala, October, 1998
.“The river is going to flow through Zimbabwe and I see a powerful torrent of water, a mighty rushing torrent, many fish. I see that there are strongholds in the church of division and the accuser of the brethren is active to discourage souls. An army of women with the Deborah anointing will march across the land. They will be like a net all over Zimbabwe with prayer. With a powerful anointing, the women first and men following. I see ancient thrones coming down, reconciliation between black and white, the spirit of racism which goes back further down to the tribes. I will use Zimbabwe like a jewel; she will help feed the world with beautiful produce. God will break the curse that came through civil war . . . the curse will be broken. I know nothing about Zimbabwe. The land will produce beautiful beef. New factories will be built. Zimbabwe has the ministry of reconciliation that reunites the African people. The anointing of reconciliation will be all over Zimbabwe. Do not be afraid of the change. Although it looks like you are going backwards. I have a plan for you. Satan thinks he is advancing but I will expose wickedness at high levels. Do not be afraid. Satan will try to bring war; this army will be used to stop war and bloodshed. A treaty will be written with other nations. Zimbabwe will be used like Switzerland to bring the healing of nations to break ancient things. Your nation came through trickery, but God will restore it. You will be given a piece of land, a beautiful place to pray. You will build a place to watch and pray. It will be like a compound with a place to sleep. The Annas will give their lives for intercession. Senior citizens will have places to stay and give their time to pray day and night.” (Prophecy given by Cindy Jacobs in Guatemala City, Guatemala on October 30, 1998.

The prophecy directly contradicted the 1997 prophecy ‘A prophetic overview of Zimbabwe’
I published a rebuttal in Dave Sheard’s magasine. In the rebuttal, I said that everything she predicted, the opposite would happen

Instead of reconciliation, there would be division fomented by government.
Instead of Zimbabwe like a jewel, it would be a poor nation
Instead of feeding other nations, Zimbabwe would have to beg for food from other nations

Instead of the curse of the civil war would be broken- the civil war would be bought to remembrance and used to justify expropriation of land, mines, business.
Instead of new factories being built, I saw factories going bankrupt and lying empty
Instead of corruption being exposed at high places, it rages on unchecked and greatly increased.
Instead of Zimbabwe being used to bring healing to other nations, Zimbabwe would need healing.
The army of Deborah anointed women would never happen as described because most spiritual leaders will always be men.

Instead of the nation coming to repentance, Cindy Jacobs lulled the nation to sleep as it believed that God was protecting it …. blessing it … and prosperity was going to come to it. The church has never been able to point to sin as the cause of the problems in the nation. Instead most church leaders worship Cindy Jacobs and have continued to declare her a mighty prophet of God- one of God’s generals. Those who declare her one of God’s generals know that the prime test of a false prophet- if the prophecy does not come true the speaker is a false prophet

The prophecy’ A prophetic overview of Zimbabwe’ has proven to be the most accurate prophecy ever given to the nation.

The test of a false prophet is …… non-fulfillment of prophecy, ……… therefore ……

I want to ask you. Cindy Jacobs did not give a timeline, so maybe it is too early to write it off. These promises can only happen when people repent and so I believe she was prophesying that people of Zimbabwe would repent and I believe they shall.

REPLY STEVE BLOMEFIELD if Zimbabwe turns back to the Lord, ie in actual practice of the word, the genius of the people, the wealth of the nation will result in unbeleivable prosperity.

I want to ask you. Cindy Jacobs did not give a timeline, so maybe it is too early to write it off. These promises can only happen when people repent and so I believe she was prophesying that people of Zimbabwe would repent and I believe they shall. This goes in line with the doctrine pf pre-destination which says God already knows that the elect shall accept him long before and will be ready to give them their benefits once their sins are forgiven.

Dear Mzanzi, I have replied to you but I wish to reply to you in public. When a prophet speaks, they speak to their generation, so the prophecy wmust be fulfilled to that generation UNLESS the prophet specifies the prophecy is for another generation. [eg daniel and the book of revelation]. So all the prophecies of Isaiaha nd jeremaih etc were for that generation. Jonah prophesied to Nineveh for that time. Jesus prophesied in Matt 23 and the early part of matt 24 for his generation. Sadly Cindy spoke to the people of Zimbabwe in a way that they felt it was a word of encouragement for that time. …….. but it was false hope. false prophets always propesy peace and prosperity, and when their prophecy fails because the nation reaps what it has sowed [deut 28] then they say it will be fulfilled in the future.

False prophets comfort a nation IN ITS SIN [what people WANT TO HEAR. true prophets preach repentance from sin [WHAT PEOPLE NEED TO HEAR]. When Zimbabwe was ready for repentance Cindy innoculated the nation in its sin and the result was catastrophic. ….. sin mushroomed and destruction came to the nation. Cindy must come to Zimbabwe, holda conference and publicly repent for prophesying falsely to the nation, asking for its forgivenness. Until that happens Zimbabwe Christians must not recognise her so called prophetic ministry. She must also advise th nation who the real prophets are, those who advocate following the WORD OF GOD.

Prophetic words spoken to a nation concerning their state of condition they’er living in must be addressed and repentance is a major requirement it to be hraled and blessed. (I Chronicles 7:14 There are many prophecies I’ve listened to or read over the past Thirty-five years that have yet to be fulfilled. The time line in which the person prophesing said most of it would be fulfilled never happened. The only prophets that were accurate are found in the bible, both New and Old Testiment. They were true prophets!

REPLY STEVE BLOMEFIELD yes Glenn, you are right. The prophetic word is the only word that is always correct 100%. This is why all prophecy must reveal principles of the word. Unfortunately false prophets love to tell people what they want to hear and to flatter them. This makes them popular but false. The WORD is truth and says things exactly as they are. Jesus is the WORD. God spoke formerly by prophets but now he speaks through Jesus.

When I get around to it I will teach on this.

Although your veiw is that she did not speak to her generation, most of the people in Zimbabwe have seen the changes that have been taking place over the last year, and it is our belief that its too early to make such bold statements of the faulsehood of the prophecy. Much is still at play, and I believe it took Joseph ages till his dream came to pass, and he went through the pit, to the prison, before the was in his position of destiny. Hold your horses brothers, do not limit God with your intellect.

REPLY STEVE BLOMEFIELD I thank you for your faith but I reiterate that unless we as a nation, every one of us not only go to church but actually practice the word of God, we will be sowing our own destrution. We have to sow righteousnes, live for Jesus.

All i want to say is go over the prophecy again and you will realise that some of what the prophecy have been fulfilled not in the opposite as you say, but just as the prophecy says. There is where she says,’Do not be afraid of the change, …….up to… A treaty will be written with other nations. Firstly the problems we experienced in the last decade, it appeared as if our country was going backwards. Secondly, SADC, being other nation came in being the guarantor of the treat that brought some normalcy to the country .

REPLY STEVE BLOMEFIELD SADC can do nothing unless the Lord moves them to have compassion for Zimbabwe and strengthens their desire to do what is right for their brothers in Zimbabwe. God is in conrol of all things and all people. When we all, as a nation, not only government but every person, obey the Lord, we will see not only healing but a glory far greater than it is possible to conceive of. We do have the minerals. We do have the land, we do have the wild life, we do have the genius in every Balck zimbabwean, but we need righteousness, community, spiirutalityand exc3llence of work before any renewal, political settlement or economic revival.

I have been following this prophecy ever since and have seen some major changes in line with it. As we speak, and even before, folklore of Zimbabwe’s history from pre-colonial through colonial and present day has revealed especially the issue of the nation being obtained by cheating. As I write today their is an outcry, genuine – from what I personally witnessed and is attested by many- of cheating.
I also believe that God is not waiting for the whole nation to turn to Him, but for the nation to acknowledge Him, while those called by His name repent and seek God genuinely, which has happened to a large extend.
Women have prayed and today we have strong intercessors and leaders of powerful congregations from the womenfolk.
Ancient thrones have been coming down. Obviously there will be, and there is, resistance. the Murenga spirit, after which Zimbabwean struggles are named, is one which desires bloodshed (this was narrated by traditional leaders on a ZTV programme- ‘Toringepi’) yet as it stands agitation for war and bloodshed since 1999 has been met with passive replies. There has been some bloodshed (esp. 1999-2001, & 2008), but not to the extend which seemed to have been expected.
I could say more. My thrust is on the words she said, as I have no other knowledge of her.
Churches (Christian), at least where I have gone in Zim, have been given land to worship more than at other times I am aware of. The generation is still young if we consider that the prophecy was made in 1999.
Finally your refered prophecy agrees with what she says that Ziom will seem to go backwards- which has been the case- 2003 we seemed to be coming up, 2009 we seemed to be set on recovery for good, 2013 we are wandering, and wondering. I personaly believe the time of recovery has arrived, since 2007. This is from my personal interaction with the Almighty God in Christ Jesus, which has been confirmed from time to time- although I am (presently) unable to fully interpret our present situation after the 2013 plebiscite. Up to 2008 it happened as God showed me and as I shared with people within my ambit.
      Do you have anything?

Condy said zimbabwe would prosper without repentance from sin. I said that zimbabwe would crash because of sin. Biblically, who was more biblical? who was more accurate?

the prophecy about zimbabwe is true and it shall come to pass.

REPLY: STEVE BLOMEFIELD It will come to pass if Zimbabwe adopts obedince to the Lord Jesus in spirituality, morality, community and excellence of work. For this to happen there needs to be preachers who preach the righteousness of Jesus, followed by a revival of obedience to jesus. …. but she did not say this, showing again that she is a false prophet. her prophecy was unconditional, the style of false prophets. You dont have to do anything and God is going to mightily bless you.

If she had said IF YOU TURN FROM SIN AND OBEY HIM, these will happen. But she said it was going to happen anyway, even though there are no virgins in church, even though there are prostitues in every bar, even though, for money zimbabweans will kill, beat up and rape zimbabweans; even though people go to church and then follow the Mukandiwa’s of the country; even though peoplepay big bucks to Ngaga’s dresses as mapostori prophets, even though our national leaders are preaching Amuya nehanda.

no time line was given, and , “God is not a man that he should lie…”. What does Cindy have to gain from giving false prophecies anyway.

REPLY: STEVE BLOMEFIELD Cindy was hugely popular for this prophecy. It is all about the glory from man and the money that follows it. Even now she has devotees in Zimbabwe. However her glory has been stained by the fact that her prophecy has totally failed and it has been seen to fail. The word of God reveals that if a prophecy fails, the prophet is to be stoned to death. She is blessed that she is not in israel of old, for she would have beEn stoned to death

Deu 18:20 But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die. 21 And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken? 22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.

I choose to differ with all of you and choose to agree with Mzansi. Unfortunately we always see with human eyes and forget that as far as the heavens are above the earth so are our ways different from His ways. We cannot expect God to do things in our way. Cindy said ‘ Although it looks like you are going backwards. I have a plan for you. Satan thinks he is advancing but I will expose wickedness at high levels.’ which I find very realistic. It did not look good and neither does it look good today but in its own time, that which God has created always comes beautiful. That is in the book of Eclesiastes cha 3. So let’s we not rush to speak against prophecies. The spirit of prophecy is subject to the prophets 1 Corinth 14:32, not anyone else. Who are we to analyse? Who are we to judge? Remember a thousand years is like a day in His eyes. Who are we to govern the times of prophecies when God is the beginning and the end of time. Why was Zachariah made mute in the book of Luke, because He doubted what God was about to do and not only that but it is possible that He could have undone or made God change His mind by his words, but God’s plan had come to pass without any hindrance. and so the words we say with our own mouths have power to undo the prophecies or the good things and plans He has for us. May the Lord have mercy upon us when we speak against other prophets that God has called. Even when God had departed from Saul in his wicked and David had been chosen in His place, David still respected Saul, and would not harm Him. Touch not the anointed of the Lord. If you do not agree with it, keep it to yourself and seek the Lord first so He may show you what is true. God still speaks through prophets because His Holy Spirit gives us power to do more that what Christ did if we believe. We are limiting God by our human reasoning and understanding. Seek Him. Prov 3:5-6, Trust in the Lord always, and lean not on your own understanding and in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths. May He grant us wisdom that the words we say do not discourage but bring encouragement to others. If we are the body of Christ, why do we seek to bring each other down and have this quarrelsome spirit? Lets remember that when we do this to each other, its not the person you intend to hurt that gets hurt but it is Christ Himself you crucify with our own actions, word and thoughts. May we not stoop that low.
May the Lord have mercy upon us. May His grace continue to cover us through and through when we judge each other so harshly.

REPLY STEVE BLOMEFIELD Weare comanded dto judge prophecy.
1Co 14:29 Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.
The way we judge prophecy is by asking ourselves two questions. 1. Is the person who is promisd blessing, doing the things that will result in blessing? there are four factors.

    A. Spirituality. Is the person devoted to Jesus? Does he love and serve Jesus whole heartedly? Or does he love money, houses, women, lying, shoddy workmanship?

    b. Are they actually obeyng him for Jesus said that if we do not practice his word, we are like a man who built his house on sand. Great will be the fall of it. Bt note that this man will always have the mukandiwa’s and mapostori prophets who will nevertheless promise him blessing without obedience.
    C. does he have a love of community peace and harmony? or does he use the comunity to feed his desires.
    D. does his work reflect the excellence of Jesus? Working for the glory of God? Working as unto the lord?
This way of judging prophecy is thrugh loking at law. The laws of sowing and reaping.

Thes second way is by asking ourselves if that person is a jesus person. They love him, search the scriptures for truth and wisdom. They love to receive the righteousnes sof Jesus. That peson is blessed even though he may be poor, for he is building a furure in eternity. He has the most prcious thng available toman- the love of God. Intimacy with the lord of the universe.

If we are sinning. If we are building our future on sand. If we are using God for our own desires, then any prediction of blessing comes from the ultimate false prophet- satan.

Unfortunately Cindy has reflected the spirit of satan in her prophecy to Zimbabwe.

watch out for what God is doing in Zimbabwe, the Deborahs and Annas are being raised. All Cindy said is coming to pass.We thank God for the prophecy.

REPLY- STEVE BLOMEFIELD watch this blog. I will teach on false prophecy such as Cindy jacobs.

Cindy gave her prophecy in 1998. Since that time the opposite of what she has said has happened. In the prophetic overview of Zimbabwe [in this blog], I stated that the economy was going to fall, there was going to be hyper inflation, Mugabe would take the farms, production was going to fall and the economy was going to crash [amongst other predictions]. 66 were fulfilled by 2007. So who waa right? The sad thing is that Cindy has done imense evil through her lack of knowledge of true prophecy. She encouraged people to beleive they were going to be blessed when they were disobeying God, worshipping Ambuya nehanda, going to Ngang’s dressed as mapostori prophets, spoiling th virgins in church, practicing greed and corruption, abusing power etc.

You see that God cannot bless a nation that is backsliding. The only way that God will bless a nation is by the preaching of the gospel of Jesus. That gospel if itis the true gospel will include preaching the righteousness of Jesus, the grace of Jesus, the obedience of Jesus to the father, excellence of work that glorifies God, creating peace in the community. When the nation turns back to the Lord and practices what he says, the nation will rise up to its proper glory.

have you not seen that zambia, who used to be the laughing stock of the region, [one zambia, one nation, one petrol station], since it has declared itself a christian nation, has risen up? and zimbabwe has gone down with its pursuit of greed and revenge and community division?

Cindy is a false prophet because she proclaimed blessing when God was planning judment. Look at deut 28. Are we being blessed or cursed? Why are we being cursed? Duh! Duh! It is because we will not obey the God who created us, revealed in jesus Christ.

Those who want blessing without community harmony, without righteousness, without excellence of work are false prophets. Their heart indicates that they desire God to be their servant, feeding them with constant blessing even though they are sowing wickdness, greed, adultery, worship of mammon, worhip of property, cars, perfume, clothes overseas travel etc etc. Those who love this world do not have the love of the father in them. The whore of babylon must have come from a church in Zimbabwe that preaches prosperity without submission to God. Her clothes, her beauty, her ability to make men obey her and bless her without Godliness, her love of money and trade. Babylon will burn with its whores. Zimbabwe is burning with its whores. Don’t you see it? But cindy claims that God is going to bless Zimbabwe. Write to her and tel her how she has let down her Lord and this nation. If she had preacxhed repentance maybe the nation would have saved itself, but she gave us duvet gospel, not a gospel that is like a hammer, breaking ricks and fire that burns sin.

i say that what she prophesied was true ,check with the diamonds that are now sprouting from all over. look at the GNU that was facilitated by South Africa. and when we recieve prophecies one has to work towards achieving it. with woman leading in prayer that is very true because look in Zimbabwe how woman are praying and preaching. its only a matter of time. the King of Israel was told by Elisha to shoot his arrows to the ground as many times as he could but he only shot three times, those where the times he was going to conqor the the enemies. Elisha was disgruntled by the Kings act. that is the same thing we are doing. things are changing in Zimbabwe for the good. we are a chosen nation.

Prophet Steve Blomefield: You are going in the right direction, because you emphasize what the church is doing to remedy the situation.

Since the Jacobs prophecy the nation has declined, but I see the church now BEGINNING to do the things that will bring true spirituality, morality, community and excellence of work into the nation. ….. and prayer teams all over the country.

The church fails to understand the law of God. Christians cannot say that they are under grace, then go and live a life breaking the law of God. Christians follow Jesus and when they are wholehearted about obeying Jesus, they do the things that the law says.

Mat 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

The law is for unbelievers to tell them what is right.

    1Tim 1:9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, 10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;

Christians know what is right- Jesus is right. We either live for Jesus or for ourselves. We either die to self and live for jesus or we live for self and use jesus to help ourselves.

I opposed Cindy’s prophecy because it sounded like Zimbabwe was about to take off. As a so called prophet she should have said- guys, this is in the distance, but right now troubles are coming because the people of the nation are not obeying the lord. I said that disaster was coming– in the next few months or couple of years.

She did not say what would make the nation to heal. She merely said it was gong to happen. Nothing happens by fiat [by saying it is going to happen]. Things happen when they are done God’s way. if they are not done God’s way, they seem to succeed NOW NOW but it fizzles out. Cindy spoke like a genuine false prophet. The opposite of what she said happened and so she fits the definition of a false prophet. If she was in Moses’ day she would have been stoned to death. But she has not apologized to Zimbabwe, nor corrected her prophecy. What she did was give Zimbabwe false hope. Many people still think that blessing is going to come to Zimbabwe without the people of Zimbabwe changing their hearts.

    Brother Steve
From what I have been reading you are very passioned about the Word of God and like you I agree that obedience is very important. Please do also ensure you grow and mature positively in the prophetic gift. I have a prophetic gift and God has shown me the importance of Godly love, humility and obedience. God is love and He loves everyone. The devil is the enemy. Do not judge but bless and pray for the children of God to break any curses or strongholds. Do not fight flesh and blood otherwise bitterness will creep in your heart. Cindy may not have spoken about the actual sin. But she forth told what has been on Gods heart. The Holy Spirit gives prophesy as it wills and she said what she was given for edification. God does the rest. I have been raised to intercede for Nations including Zimbabwe and received a revelation of the strongholds within the Churches. God is raising His servants and their purpose will be preaching righteousness and holiness. Let us all be Vessels of honour. We need to pray for all religious leaders and churches and pray for a revival. Women are now being raised because some have made the gifts bigger that Gods love and therefore missing Gods will so they are in need of restoration. Please continue to pray for our Nation. Our mighty God loves us.

1998 i was not a christian/disciple , in the past 5 years i have truly sought God and it blows me away that i was so ignorant. My nation hurts , i hurt . The word sent cannot work in a nation of stiffnecked people. We have church goers not saved Christians and God will not be mocked. The history of the nations hinges on a series of abuse, ancient altars. The church is in similar shambles as the state jostling for power, vain ambitions and sometimes clueless as to the sacrifice of prayer and holiness needed to truly manifest God’s glory. We are indeed blessed, you cannot humanely explain how we havent collapsed into civil war and devastation, the hand of the Lord is indeed upon us, and some of us have woken out of our slumber , and are ready for battle. I do not understand most things but I do know I have been sharpened as a battle axe and we are many God is raising in the wilderness to take down the Goliaths we face in out nation.

the moment you judge someone by what you see or hear you lose the ability to be objective, therefore l say to all christian Zimbabweans do not judge but look back to God when a word is spoken or prophesy is given, in due season GOD will reveal the false and true prophets .God is not man, he will stand for his word. our job as Zimbabweans is to seek God for our nation , not spend time arguing who is false and who is true,l say let GOD be the judge!!!! besides the word of God says Great are the plans l have for you…….”.I believe the best is yet to come for Zimbabwe .our past will not define our future. so how about it people let spend more time on our knees and less time arguing!!! stay blessed

Jesus, Paul, peter, Jude and all old testament prophets warned against false prophets. Those who discourage you from telling the difference between true and false prophets are sympathizers with false prophets. Those who encourage discernment love you and have compassion on you. They do not want you to go astray.
